Cherrydale Manufacturing LLC Recalls Target Archer Farm and Target Market Pantry Products That Contain Peanuts Because of Possible Health Risk

Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) has voluntarily expanded the recall of all peanuts and peanut products produced at their Blakely Georgia Facility since January 1, 2007.

Cherrydale Manufacturing LLC is acting out of an abundance of caution to voluntarily recall all products manufactured at their facility using peanut products from PCA, since January 1, 2007 because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

These brands of products were sold at Target and SuperTarget stores nationwide. Included in the recall are:

This action was taken as a result of the recently expanded recall by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) to include all peanut ingredients produced in their Blakely, Georgia facility. None of the recalled products have been directly linked to the salmonella outbreak, and there have been no illnesses reported.

Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and/or abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses, such as arterial infections (i.e. infected aneurysms), endocarditis, and arthritis.
Consumers are advised not to consume these items and may return the items to Target for a refund or they may call Target Guest Relations at 1-800-316-6151.
