Bindi North America Announces Nationwide Recalls of Peanut Butter Gelato, Dream Bomba, and Peanut Butter Cheesecakes Because of Possible Health Risk

Bindi North America of Belleville, NJ is recalling 1.08 gallon containers of Peanut Butter Gelato, 7.48 lb boxes of Dream Bomba, and 5.07 lb boxes of Peanut Butter Cheesecake, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy people infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.

ThePeanut Butter Gelato, Dream Bomba and Peanut Butter Cheesecake were distributed nationwide thru distribution centers and restaurants.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

Bindi North America is voluntarily recalling all of our peanut based products due to the expanded recall by Peanut Corporation of America that included peanut meal purchased by Bindi North America. However, all of our products have been tested negative for salmonella before their distribution into the market.
