Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
Name of Product: Silver Metallic Pillar Candles
Units: About 12,000
Manufacturer: General Wax & Candle Company, of North Hollywood, Calif.
Hazard: The metallic paint on the candles can ignite, posing a risk of fire.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: This recall involves metallic pillar candles sold in two sizes: 2.8 by 4 inches and 2.8 by 6 inches. "Metallic Pillar Candle" and UPC code 86718 56082 or 86718 56092 is printed on the bottom of the candles' plastic wrapping.
Sold exclusively at: Bed Bath and Beyond stores nationwide from October 2010 through November 2010 for between $8 and $10.
Manufactured in: United States
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled candles and return them to any Bed Bath and Beyond store or contact General Wax and Candle for a full refund.

Bed Bath & Beyond Recalls Solar Lighted Cantilever Umbrellas Due to Injury Hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
Name of Product: Solar Lighted Cantilever Umbrellas
Units: About 7,600
Importer: Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., of Union, N.J.
Hazard: A plastic connector which attaches to the arm of the umbrella can break, causing the umbrella to collapse. This poses a risk of injury to the user.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received 21 reports of units collapsing. Minor injuries were reported in three of those incidents including a bruise, abrasion and nausea.
Description: The recalled product is a 13-foot Solar Lighted Cantilever Umbrella. The umbrella has tan or chocolate colored material, lights and a black supporting pole. The UPC numbers are 444444550439 (tan) and 444444583963 (chocolate) and can be found on the product packaging. The model numbers are 8070C-S and 8070C-L and can be found on the assembly and operating instruction that were enclosed with the product packaging.
Sold exclusively at: Bed Bath & Beyond stores and online at www.bedbathandbeyond.com and www.bedbathandbeyond.ca from February 2010 through June 2010 for about $300.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and return it to any Bed Bath & Beyond location for a full refund.

Near Strangulation of Children Prompts Recall of Roman Shades by Louis Hornick & Co.; Sold Exclusively at Bed Bath & Beyond
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Dublin Energy Solution Roman Shades
Units: About 364,000
Importer: Louis Hornick & Co. Inc., of New York, N.Y.
Retailer: Bed Bath & Beyond Inc., of Union, N.J.
Hazard: Strangulations can occur when a child places his/her neck between the exposed inner cord and the fabric on the backside of the blind or when a child pulls the cord out and wraps it around his/her neck.
Incidents/Injuries: There have been two reports of children becoming entangled in the exposed inner cord on the back of the shade. In July 2008, while in his crib, a 20-month-old boy became entangled in the inner cord from a roman shade. His grandfather responded to the child's cries and removed the cord that left a red mark on the right side of his neck. In April 2009, the mother of a 3-year-old boy found her crying son with a cord mark that ran ear to ear on the front of his neck. The boy was able to free himself after becoming entangled in the inner cord. No permanent injuries were sustained in these incidents.
Description: This recall includes all sizes and colors of Dublin Energy Solution Roman Shades sold by Bed Bath & Beyond with exposed inner cords on the back. Colors include navy, chocolate, khaki and cream. On the backside of the head rail, a small orange, black and white warning label sticker in English and Spanish which read in part, "Cords and bead chains can loop around child's neck and STRANGLE. Always keep cords ...to get to cords."
Sold at: Bed Bath & Beyond stores nationwide and on-line at www.bedbathandbeyond.com from August 2007 through September 2009 for between $40 and $130.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Roman shades and contact Louis Hornick & Company to receive a free repair kit. The repair kit will be available by the end of November.

Cheyenne Industries Recalls Vanity Stools Due to Fall Hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Milan Vanity Stools
Units: About 89,000
Distributor: Cheyenne Industries Inc., of Little Rock, Ark.
Hazard: The recalled stools can become unstable due to loose screws, which can cause the stool legs to separate or break, posing a fall hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Cheyenne has received nine reports of incidents, including seven resulting in minor injuries from the stool legs separating or breaking.
Description: This recall involves the Milan Vanity Stool Model GBS57A. The stools are rectangular benches sitting about 18 inches off the ground, with fabric-covered seat cushions and metal frames. UPC Code 0-50276-85472-2 is printed on the identification tag on the underside of the seat cushion. Only stools using four screws to hold the stool legs to a foot ring are impacted by this recall.
Sold at: Bed Bath & Beyond and other retailers nationwide from October 2004 through March 2006 for about $60.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should immediately check the screws on their stools and if the screws are stripped or cannot be tightened, or if a stool leg has broken, consumers should stop using it and contact Cheyenne Industries for a free repair kit. Consumers should not return the stools to the store where purchased.
