Actions Taken by the Georgia State Board of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers at its January 16 Meeting

The Georgia State Board of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, January 16, 2008.

The Board accepted the following Public Consent Orders:

Ludy’s Cars & Trucks, Cartersville: Inspection citation of $500 for failure to furnish appropriate documents required for tag transfer to the retail purchaser within 30 days of purchase date.

Just Right Auto Sales, Conyers: Inspection citation of $1,000 for failure to apply for a title in the retail purchaser’s name within 30 calendar days after the date of sale, and failure to furnish appropriate documents required for tag transfer to the retail purchaser within 30 days of purchase date.

Joel Quality Used Cars LLC, Tucker: Inspection citation of $500 for two failures to post FTC Buyer’s Guides on each vehicle offered for sale.

Cars & Trucks Unlimited, Inc., Moultrie: Inspection citation of $1,000 for failure to apply for a title in the retail purchaser’s name within 30 calendar days after the date of sale, and failure to furnish appropriate documents required for tag transfer to the retail purchaser within 30 days of purchase date.

A public hearing will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 9 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Board in Macon for the purpose of allowing licensed dealers to appeal inspection citations issued by the Board.

The Georgia State Board of Registration for Used Motor Vehicle Dealers will hold their next meeting on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Professional Licensing Boards in Macon.
