Hazard: The rechargeable batteries can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Coby Electronics has received 10 reports of batteries overheating, including eight reports of fires resulting in property damage. No injuries have been reported.
Description: The recall involves Coby DVD/CD/MP3 players with an 8 1/2 inch screen and product number TF-DVD- 8501. The rechargeable batteries sold with the DVD players have serial numbers that begin with "HY." The serial number can be found on a white sticker affixed to the battery. "Coby" is printed on the front cover and the product number is on the bottom of the unit.
Sold at: Discount, electronics, music, toy, office supply stores and distributors of electronic products nationwide from January 2007 through September 2009 for between $140 and $275.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately remove the recalled batteries from the unit and contact Coby Electronics to receive a free replacement battery. Consumers can continue to use the DVD/CD/MP3 players with AC or DC power adapters.

The haunted house measures 15-inches wide by 15-inches high by 4-inches deep and can hold up to six tea lights. Tea light candles are not involved in this recall.

Hazard: The light switch receiver, which fits into the wall outlet, can overheat and pose a fire hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received 14 reports of overheating, including nine reports of fire, five of which involved property damage such as minor damage to curtains, bedding or walls.
Description and Model: The Handy Switch is a white plastic wireless remote light switch with model number KS-080 printed on the back of the receiver. On the front of the receiver is a blue electroluminescent nightlight.

Remote Switches Recalled by Woodstock International Due to Fire Hazard

Name of Product: Shop Fox Dust Collection Remote Switches
Units: About 450
Manufacturer: Woodstock International, of Bellingham, Wash.
Hazard: An incorrectly sized wire inside the remote switch can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Woodstock International has received 10 reports of the remote switch overheating. No injuries were reported.
Description: The recalled product is a remote dust collector switch, which remotely turns on and off a woodworking dust collector. The product is a black electrical outlet box that comes with two hand-held remote controls. The electrical outlet box has a label that reads "Remote Dust Collector Switch". Both the electrical box and remote controls have "Shop Fox" molded into the plastic on the top side of the product. Model numbers D3038 & D3346 were printed on the carton but not on the remote control unit. The recalled switches measure 4 and 13/16" long by 3 and 7/16" wide.
Sold by: Woodworking stores nationwide from July 2008 through June 2009 for about $50.

Description: This recall involves Homelite and Husky brand generators sold exclusively at Home Depot stores and Black Max brand generators sold exclusively at Sam's Club stores. Affected generators include Homelite models HG3500, HG3510, HG5700 and HG5700R, Husky models HU3650, HUCA5700 and HUCA7000 and Black Max models BM10700A, BM10700B, BM10711A, BM10700DG, BM10700R, BM10700BR & BM10722G. Hazard: The battery pack can overheat, posing a burn or fire hazard to the consumer.
Incidents/Injuries: Six incidents of overheating have been reported to the firm. Two consumers reported minor burns to the hand.
Description: The Wii 4-Dock Recharge Station includes a white docking station with four recharge stations and a four rechargeable battery pack. Brand names are on the front of the packaging and the model numbers, Psyclone (PSE6501) and React (RT530), can be found on the bottom side of the product.

Blitz USA Recalls Enviro-FloT Plus Fuel Containers Due to Fire Hazard

Name of Product: Enviro-Flo Plus Fuel Containers (1 and 2 gallon container sizes)

Manufacturer: Blitz USA Inc., of Miami, Okla.
Hazard: The spout's plunger cap can dislodge which can open the seal of the fuel container and allow gasoline vapors to escape. This could cause liquid gasoline to spill from the top of the container during use and result in a fire hazard.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported
Description: The recall involves green Enviro-Flo Plus spouts used with 1 and 2 gallon fuel containers. Only spouts with manufacture date codes listed from 04/17/2009 through 04/19/2009 are included in the recall. The manufacture date code is etched into the side of the spout. The spouts were used on fuel containers with item numbers 81005 (1 gallon) and 81010 (2 gallon) printed on the labels. Date codes affected include:

Hazard: The glass can break during use, posing a fire hazard.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received ten reports of the glass breaking during use, two of which resulted in fires causing property damage to household items and carpet. One consumer reported a cut on her foot when the glass broke and another consumer reported a wax burn from blowing out the candle.
Description: The recalled candles were sold under the DayNa Decker "Botanika" brand in 16 ounce green glass vessels, 4 inches wide by 5 inches high. Botanika candles in the smaller 3 ounce and 6 ounce sizes are not included in the recall. The words "DayNa Decker" and "Bacara," "Bardou," "Clementine," "Indigo," "Leila," "Manzanita," "Sierra," "Violetta," "Yasmin" or "Zelia" appear on the bottom of the glass vessel.

Best Buy Announces the Recall of Certain Insignia 26-Inch Flat-Panel LCD Televisions Due to Fire Hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Insignia 26-inch flat-panel LCD model IS-LCDTV26 televisions
Units: About 13,300
Importer: Best Buy Co. Inc., of Richfield, Minn.
Hazard: The television's power supply can fail, posing a fire and burn hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Best Buy has received two reports of fires that included damage to the television and wall. One consumer reported minor burns to the hands.
Description: This recall involves Insignia 26-inch flat-panel LCD televisions, model number IS-LCDTV26. The model number is printed on the back of the television and the word "INSIGNIA" is printed on the bottom front. No other Insignia model televisions are involved in this recall.
Sold exclusively at: Best Buy stores nationwide, at ww.bestbuy.com, and www.bestbuyforbusiness.com from August 2005 through June 2006 for about $800.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled televisions and contact the Best Buy hotline to receive a gift card for the value of a replacement television.

Name of Product: Rocketfish Model RF-INV80 Universal AC/DC/USB Portable Power Source
Units: About 1,400
Importer: Best Buy Co. Inc., of Richfield, Minn.
Hazard: While charging the battery, the power source can unexpectedly ignite, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received three reports of fires resulting in minor property damage. No injuries reported.
Description: This recall involves Rocketfish Universal AC/DC/USB portal power sources with model number RF-INV80. The model number is printed on the back of the power source and "Rocketfish" is printed on the cover.
Sold exclusively at: Best Buy stores nationwide and at bestbuy.com from July 2008 through February 2009 for about $100.

Clothing Irons Recalled by Conair Corporation Due to Fire Hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of product: Clothing Irons
Units: About 45,000
Distributor: Conair Corporation, of Stamford, Conn.
Hazard: The clothing iron can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Conair has received three reports of overheating, including two fires resulting in property damage. No injuries have been reported.
Description: This recall involves Conair clothing irons with model numbers DPP1500, DPP1500R and DPP3500. The model number is printed below the soleplate. No other models are included in this recall.
Sold at: Department and retail stores nationwide from October 2008 through March 2009 for about $50.
Manufactured in: China
Remedy: Consumers should immediately unplug and stop using the recalled clothing irons and contact Conair to receive a free comparable product.

Outerwears Inc. Recalls Filters Used in Fuel Funnels Due to Fire Hazard
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of product: Outerwears Funnel Pre-Filters
Units: About 500
Manufacturer: Outerwears Inc., of Schoolcraft, Mich.
Hazard: The Funnel Pre-Filters can create a flash when they are removed from the fuel tank posing a fire hazard.
Incidents/Injuries: Outerwears received three reports of flashing when the funnel is removed from the fuel tank following a fueling event. No injuries have been reported.
Description: These filters are used to fuel-up off-road and racing vehicles. The recall involves Outerwears Funnel Pre-Filters, or fuel funnel pre-filters, with the model numbers 20-2465-03, 20-2466-03, 20-2467-03, and 20-2474-03. The red fabric mesh filters were available in two sizes, small and large, and in two different shapes to accommodate various sizes of fueling funnels. The name of the manufacturer, Outerwears, is the only marking on the product.
Sold at: Various off-road and racing retailers nationwide from June 2008 through February 2009 for about $25.
Manufactured in: United States
Remedy: Consumers should stop using the funnel pre-filters and contact Outerwears, Inc. to arrange for a full refund.

Maytag Recalls Refrigerators Due to Fire Hazard

Name of Product: Maytag(R), Jenn-Air(R), Amana(R), Admiral(R), Magic Chef(R), Performa by Maytag(R) and Crosley(R) brand refrigerators
Units: About 1.6 million
Manufacturer: Maytag Corp., of Newton, Iowa
Hazard: An electrical failure in the relay, the component that turns on the refrigerator's compressor, can cause overheating and pose a serious fire hazard.
Incidents/Injuries: Maytag has received 41 reports of refrigerator relay ignition, including 16 reports of property damage ranging from smoke damage to extensive kitchen damage.
Description: The recall includes certain Maytag(R), Jenn-Air(R), Amana(R), Admiral(R), Magic Chef(R), Performa by Maytag(R) and Crosley(R) brand side by side and top freezer refrigerators. The affected refrigerators were manufactured in black, bisque, white and stainless steel. They have model and serial numbers printed on a label located on the top middle or left upper side of the refrigerator liner and have the following model and serial number combinations:

Outdoor Stoves Recalled by Jetboil Due to Burn Hazard

Name of Product: Personal Cooking Systems and Group Cooking Systems
Units: About 15,000
Manufacturer: Jetboil Inc., of Manchester, N.H.
Hazard: A tight valve attached to the stove's fuel source can allow gas to leak, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Incidents/Injuries: Jetboil has received five reports of fires resulting from leaking fuel. No injuries have been reported.
Description: This recall involves personal and group cooking stoves often used during outdoor camping. The recalled models include: Personal Cooking Systems in black (PBL075-BLK-(PCS) and camo (PBL075-CAMO-(PCS), Backcountry Gourmet Set (BDLFRY), Personal Cooking System with Companion Cup (BDL001), Personal Cooking System with Pot Support & Stabilizer (BDL002), Personal Cooking System with Coffee Press (BDL003), and Personal Cooking System Java Kit (BDLJAVA) and Group Cooking System (GCS150).
